This is truly the time for new beginnings. Enrollment is growing for the Fall term, alumni support is broadening, teachers are preparing for the students, and students: are anxious to begin the corning year. I am beginning my first year as President of Lyman Ward Military Academy and can hardly wait to meet each of you. It is an honor for me pleasure for me to be part of the Lyman Ward Military Academy family, an academic environment familiar to me for many years. As all of you know, our rich history steeped in tradition is continuing to develop because of its measured excellence at all levels academic teaching, character development and college preparation.
I pledge my total effort to the students, parents, teachers, alumni and administrative support staff of LWMA. I ask for excellence from the teachers and students, meaningful involvement from the parents and alumni, and, total dedication from the support staff. Our history and traditions were not reached or achieved by time alone, but by many good people from the ranks, who rose above the norm and collectively created our traditions and our rich history. It is incumbent upon all of us to continue the progression.
The destiny of Lyman Ward Military Academy has not been predetermined but exists in the minds and hearts of the members of the LWMA family. Together we will proudly create our ideal destiny; our future, that will be woven into the tapestry of our history. Our commitment is the key to our success.
Our defined goal is to prepare students to learn and make choices that will challenge them as they develop and grow. They will be challenged academically during their study here and their character development will be an integral part of their involvement with excellent teachers and military instructors. It is essential that each student is assured of his parents' love and support - he then must challenge himself to vigorously pursue academic studies and character development. Learning to learn could be the most important skill students acquire.
