===== "Doc" Cawley Retires =====

On October 31, 2000, LWMA said goodbye to a faithful employee and friend to everyone. Sam "Doc" Cawley retired on that day after being with the school for twenty-five years. It was sad to see him leave but he felt it was time to enjoy his time with his family more. He also underwent his second knee replacement the week after his retirement. Staff members and friends at a dinner honored him on November 4. At that time, he was given a plaque from the Alumni Association and presented by Charles Sizemore, class of 1976. MG Clyde Hennies made other presentations. In his honor, the Infirmary will now be known as the Sam "Doc" Cawley Medical Center. We all wish him the best of everything in his retirement.
