===== Alumni News =====

Arthur Robinson, class of 1933, resides at On Top of the World Retirement Village in Ocala, Florida. He and his wife, Louise, enjoy their three children and their grandchildren. He lives close to Alma Shoffeitt Morgan, class of 1931. He said they enjoy talking about Alabama, Georgia and SII.

Eugene Bottoms, class of 1943, is retired but lectures on Geology, Ecology, History and General George S. Patton, Jr. to Elderhostle groups. He and his wife, Maria, have two children and four grandchildren.

William Kritzky, IV, class of 1960, lives in Slidell, LA with his wife, Genoa. He is employed as a Machinist for a company in New Orleans. They have two sons.

Roy Berwick('64), attended LWMA in 1963-64. He is a retired Army officer and is currently President of Millersburg Military Academy* in Millersburg, KY. He and his wife have one daughter.

Randall Strain('66), is self employed in Jackson's Gap, AL. He served three years in Vietnam with Haliburton Taylor Diving Marine Division. He and his wife, Gaye, have one son attending LWMA.

Melanie Jarrell Arnold('81), was one of LWMA's first female cadets in the late 70's. She and her husband, Matthew, live in Opelika, AL and have two children, Jennie and Doss. She operates the New Dimensions Hair Studio at Duck Crossing close to Stillwaters.

===== TAPS =====

Willis Cox, class of 1932, died in July. He was one of several from the Cox family, some were siblings and some were cousins, who attended SII. Our sympathy is extended to his survivors.

Nelson Watts, Sr., class of 1954, died in April. He was retired from the Alabama State Troopers Office and was employed at Five Starr Plantations. Sympathy is extended to his wife Jane Watson Watts, class of 1954, his children and grandchildren.

Tom Garrigan, III, class of 1968, died last Spring at the age of 49. His former classmates and the Alumni Association express sympathy to his family.

General Information: Boys' boarding and coeducational day college-preparatory, general academic, and military school. Boarding boys grades 6-12, day boys grades 6-12, day girls grades 6-12. Founded: 1893. Setting: small town. Nearest major city is Lexington. Students are housed in single-sex dormitories. 18-acre campus. 5 buildings on campus. Approved or accredited by Southern Association of Colleges and Schools and Kentucky department of education. Member of Secondary School Admission Test Board. Total enrollment: 102. Upper school faculty-student ratio: 1:9.

Faculty: School total: 11. In upper school: 5 men (all full-time), 6 women (5 full-time, 1 part-time); 4 have master's; 6 reside on campus.

Interscholastic Athletics: Football (boys), wrestling (b). 3 coaches.

Computers: Computers are regularly used in English, mathematics, science classes. Computers are available for student use in computer center, library, study hall. Computer resources include campus e-mail.
